The consortium of the ENTRACTE project has been designed to achieve the highest quality by assembling highly skilled partners with strong potential synergies. Some of the partners are leading environmental economics research institutions in Europe. The group consists of institutes that have successfully been working together over various projects. The project also brings in partners with specific and independent expertise, whose skills will complement the rest of the team giving rise to mutual benefits. The interaction is meant to materialize both on methodological aspects, where the whole range of economic methods, from theory over econometrics and experiments to numerical simulations, will interface with each other, as well as on policy recommendations.
The project's coordinator, ZEW, has been chosen because of its long-standing experience in virtually all areas of climate policy and its long-standing working relationships with (almost) all of the involved partners.
