Associate professor in the Division of Information Systems and Economic Analysis of the Department of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland
Jerzy Śleszyński is a graduate from the Department of Economic Sciences (WNE) at the University of Warsaw (1979). In 1988 he received a PhD degree in economic sciences having defended his PhD thesis entitled: [“Multi-Criteria Approach to the Management of Environmental Resources”]. In 2001 he received a diploma and a postdoctoral degree. In 1979 he started working as a trainee assistant in the Department of Economic Sciences (WNE) at Warsaw University. Since 2002 he has been an associate professor in the Division of Information Systems and Economic Analysis of the Department of Economic Sciences (WNE) at the University of Warsaw. Between 1991 and 1994 he was a senior specialist in the Economic Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry, and between 1993 and 1998 he was an assistant and a research consultant in the project entitled “Central and Eastern Europe Environmental Economics and Policy” at Harvard Institute for International Development. He is a member of International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE) and the Polish Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (PSEŚIZN).
